Fernando Herrera\u2019s story at Grupo Madeplax is not just that of a successful executive career; it is a living example of internal promotion, commitment, and steady growth\u2014the very traits that define the organization\u2019s corporate culture.<\/p>\n

His involvement with the group began nearly two decades ago, between 2005 and 2006, while he was studying in Spain for a Master\u2019s in Business Administration (MBA) and a postgraduate degree in Family Business Management. As part of that educational experience, Fernando completed his professional internship in the internal control department, which is part of Madeplax\u2019s finance division.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, an opportunity arose to embark on a pivotal venture: the group's expansion into the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

He was given this challenge because Mr. Tolosa truly trusted his work ethic and his commitment. It was that personal trust that opened the door for him to take on such a major responsibility.<\/p>\n

The goal was to bring a project to life practically from scratch. Upon his return to the Dominican Republic, Fernando took on the administrative and financial responsibility for a small organization consisting of just three people, among whom was Vicente Mach\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was precisely alongside Mach\u00ed <\/strong>with whom Fernando designed and built the foundations of the Caribbean expansion\u2014a shared process for which he is deeply grateful, recognizing him as a key figure in both his professional development and his personal growth.<\/p>\n

Regional Consolidation and Expansion: A Team of More Than 170 Professionals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under Fernando's leadership, the Caribbean has evolved from an emerging initiative into one of Madeplax's key strategic drivers. What began as a modest operation is now a solid structure comprising more than 170 employees<\/strong> operating throughout the Caribbean region, with a highly diversified client portfolio and an undisputed leadership position.<\/p>\n

Among the major milestones of this phase, the development from scratch of the regional offices of Jamaica and Mexico<\/strong>, which have now become cornerstones of the company's international operations. Added to this is the successful execution of large-scale projects in destinations such as Antigua, Bahamas<\/strong> and, more recently, Turks and Caicos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Beyond the numbers and geographic expansion, Fernando highlights the direct recognition from major international hotel chains. The numerous letters of appreciation and congratulations received over the years for the technical quality of the projects attest to the fact that Madeplax has been able to compete and excel at the highest level.<\/p>\n
