The Madeplax Group has been in charge of the design, development, manufacture and installation of the custom-made staircase for the Royalton Punta Cana Resort project located in Bávaro - Dominican Republic.
The design was one of the most complicated processes due to the complex distribution of the stair access points and the fact that the staircase should not interrupt the general view of the environment but rather be integrated into it, so it was decided to use glass as the main material (steps, handrails and floors), steel for the handrails and the stair support structure.
The manufacture of the treads for the steps was of the tempered-laminated 8+12+12 mm type for better resistance and safety, with a matte finish so as not to leave a void in the tread of the surface and avoid vertigo.
These glass treads rest on a structure designed for their protection and proper functioning, made of stainless steel supported by a tubular skeleton also made of steel and welded in the assembly of the entire staircase.
The railings of the staircase structure are made of steel profile and 12 mm glass, with a similar finish to the steps, achieving a clean and imposing design, which welcomes all the guests of the Royalton Punta Cana Resort.
